Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 7122-1996 "High-strength adhesives - Determination of peel strength - Floating roller method" and is consistent with GB/T 7122-1996.
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Changed "Scope" (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.1996 edition);
--- Added normative references to GB/T 2943 (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.1996 edition);
--- Added "Principle" (see Chapter 4);
--- Changed the requirements for equipment accuracy and roller diameter in "device" (see 5.1, 5.2, 4.1, 4.2 of the.1996 edition);
--- Added applicable standards for surface treatment of "test piece", measurement of adhesive layer thickness, aging conditions before test of test piece and test piece size measurement
In accordance with the requirements of the quantity, the preferred width dimension of the test piece has been changed (see 6.2, 6.4, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, and 5.2 and 5.4 of the.1996 edition);
--- Added the state adjustment of the specimen in "State adjustment and test environment" (see Chapter 7);
--- Added the method of expressing the type of failure in the "test steps" (see 8.3);
--- Added method d in "Test result processing" (see Chapter 9);
--- Added aging conditions in the "Test Report" and changed the description of the specimen failure type (see Chapter 10, Chapter 9 of the.1996 edition).
This document is modified to adopt ISO 4578.1997 "Adhesives - High-strength adhesives - Determination of peel strength - Floating roller method".
This document has some structural adjustments compared to ISO 4578.1997.
See Appendix A.
This document has many technical differences compared with ISO 4578.1997.
A table of these technical differences and their causes is given in Appendix B.
The following editorial changes have been made to this document.
--- The name of the standard is changed to "Determination of peel strength of high-strength adhesives - Floating roller method";
--- Changed the equipment name in the tensile test device to the commonly used domestic name.

High-strength adhesives - Determination of peel strength - Floating roller method
1 Scope
This document describes the method for determining the peel strength of high-strength adhesive joints using the floating roller method.
This document is applicable to the determination of the peel strength of bonds between rigid adherends and flexible adherends.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2943 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
Peel resistance
Under specified test conditions, the average force required per unit sample width to gradually separate two adherends along the glue line.
4 Principles
Use the specified test device to peel the flexible adherend from the rigid adherend and measure the force required to peel the flexible adherend.
5 Devices
5.1 Tensile test apparatus
The tensile test device should be equipped with an effective measuring system and an indication recording system, with a force value accurate to ±1%.
The calibrated chuck should be able to firmly clamp the flexible adherend 25mm from the outer end. The chuck and the peel test fixture should be able to
The specimens are simultaneously moved and aligned so that the flexible adherend in the specimen is aligned with the direction of the pulling force applied through the center line of the peeling fixture.
All devices should be calibrated regularly. It is recommended to use a non-inertia tensile test device for this test.
5.2 Peel test fixture
The peel test fixture supporting the specimen is shown in Figure 1.The upper end of the fixture is connected to the chuck on the testing machine.
The roller diameter is (25.0±0.5) mm. Both ends of the roller should be equipped with bearings and be able to rotate freely.
