1 Scope

This section provides scheelite determination of iron content. This section applies to the determination of scheelite iron content. Measurement range. from 0.05% to 10.00%.

2 Method summary

Sample hydrochloric acid, nitric acid dissolved, tungsten, tungsten acid precipitation and separation of iron, ammonia medium, hydroxylamine hydrochloride masking manganese, iron and sulfosalicylic Salicylic acid to form a yellow complex, absorbance was measured in a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 420nm. Scheelite other impurities do not interfere Determination.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or relative purity of water. 3.1 hydrochloride (GR, ρ1.19g/mL). Nitrate 3.2 (GR, ρ1.42g/mL). 3.3 hydrochloric acid solution (99 + 1). 3.4 ammonia solution (1 + 1). 3.5 sulfosalicylic acid solution (250g/L). 3.6 hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution (50g/L). 3.7 iron standard stock solution. Weigh 1.0000g iron [(Fe) ≥99.95%], placed in 250mL beaker, add 15mL hydrochloric acid (3.1), 5mL of nitric acid (3.2), completely dissolved by heating, cooling, sulfuric acid was added 10mL (ρ1.84g/mL), and heated to take the thick white smoke, remove cool down. Beibi and surface water purge pan, heat to dissolve the salt. After cooling water volume to 1000mL volumetric flask, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 1mg iron. 3.8 iron standard solution. Pipette 50.00mL iron standard stock solution (3.7), placed 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark, Mix well. This solution 1mL containing 50μg iron.
