Foreword
The revised standard used by the US ASTM C693-1993 (2003) "Standard Test Method for Density of Glass buoyancy"
(In English). This standard redrafted according ASTMC693-1993 (2003), some of the ASTM standards applicable to the form of expression
In the form of standard formulation, its technical content and ASTMC693-1993 (2003) agreement.
This standard ASTMC693-1993 (2003) for the difference.
--- Removed ASTMC693-1993 (2003) of the preamble, the reference standard, meaning and use;
--- Increasing the foreword and principles;
--- The equipment in use by the material component suspended inconel or a platinum alloy to the metal;
Content --- test report adds standard number, standard name, test date and test signature and so on.
This standard replaces GB/T 5432-1985 "daily glass density determination."
This standard and GB/T 5432-1985 difference is.
--- Increase the definition section;
--- Equipment removed analytical balance, beakers, thermometers quantity requirements, increasing the suspension components should use the same material regulation
Set, increase the weight and barometer requirements;
--- Increasing the density correction formula for the reference temperature;
--- Delete the words "2 to 3 times the average of the measured values \u200b\u200bof the density of the sample as a" requirement;
--- Added "precision and bias" section.
Appendix A of this standard is a normative appendix.
The standard proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee household glass (SAC/TC377) centralized.
This standard was drafted. Donghua University, the National Optical glass enamels Quality Supervision and Inspection Center.
The main drafters of this standard. Tang Lingling, Zhang Paganini.
This standard replaces the standards previously issued as follows.
--- GB/T 5432-1985.
Glass densitometry buoyancy method
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the density of glass about 25 ℃ by buoyancy method.
This standard applies to all types of uniform density glass materials and products.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
2.1
At a predetermined temperature, mass per unit volume of the material. The unit of density in grams per cubic centimeter should (g/cm3) represents.
Principle 3
According to Archimedes' principle, the role of objects immersed in the liquid by upward buoyancy, buoyancy equal to the size of the object displaces liquid
gravity. Accordingly, the weighing in air over the samples were weighed immersed in the liquid, according to the laws and density of the liquid, you can count
The calculated density of the sample.
4 Equipment
4.1 Analytical balance. accuracy of 0.1mg.
4.2 Beaker. appropriate capacity (250mL ~ 750mL), can be placed in the balance and make the basket or wire loop is immersed in the sample holder which was distilled
Distilled water.
4.3 Thermometer. calibrated (20 ℃ ~ 30 ℃), accuracy of 0.1 ℃, measure air and water temperature.
4.4 Suspension components. suspension wire should be less than 0.2mm diameter wire, and skim or vacuum heat treatment cleaning process; the same test
Hanging wire test used, hanging baskets or wire loop sample holder should be the same material.
Note. For a platinum alloy wire, another cleaning method can be employed is a platinum alloy wire on the oxidizing flame heated platinum alloy wire around until gas no longer
Any color so far.
4.5 weight. accuracy of 0.1mg.
4.6 barometers, precision 1mmHg1) (optional).
1) 1mmHg = 133.322Pa.
5 Reagents
Distilled water. freshly prepared; after after boiling distilled water, placed in the balance for more than 2h in the environment, and should be used within 24h.
6 Sample
6.1 mass of about 20g, try to use the sample without bubbles, stones or other wrapping material. If cylindrical or rectangular cut, due
Possible to maintain the sample surface smooth, slightly rounded edges, no cracks.
Note. For the quality of 20g, sample density of about 2.5g/cm3 and a diameter of 2mm bubble density was measured in the resulting measurements of 0.05%
error.
6.2 The best specimen is immersed in hot nitric acid, chromium - sulfuric acid or an organic lotion degreasing solvent cleaning in an ultrasonic bath, and then with alcohol
