Copper and copper alloys -
Determination of mercury content. Part 26
1 Scope
This section specifies the determination of copper and copper alloy of mercury content.
This section applies to the determination of copper and copper alloy of mercury content. Measurement range. 0.0001% to 0.15%.
2 principle of the method
Sample mixed acid decomposition, reduction of excess oxidant with hydroxylamine hydrochloride, under acidic conditions, using stannous chloride reduction of divalent mercury into gold
Genus mercury.
At room temperature using air as a carrier gas, and the resulting mercury atoms import mercury vapor meter were measured.
3 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.
3.1 sulfate (ρ1.84g/mL) pure class distinctions.
3.2 nitrate (ρ1.42g/mL) pure class distinctions.
3.3 hydrochloric acid (ρ1.19g/mL) pure class distinctions.
Mixed acid 3.4. 2 per unit volume of nitric acid (1 + 1) and a unit volume of hydrochloric acid (1 + 1) were mixed.
3.5 potassium dichromate solution (10g/L).
3.6 potassium permanganate solution (50g/L).
3.7 hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution (100g/L).
3.8 stannous chloride solution (100g/L). Weigh 10.0g stannous chloride, dissolved in 10mL hydrochloric acid (3.3), and transferred to 100mL volumetric flask
The diluted with water to volume, and mix.
I 3.9 Liquid mercury absorption. [KMnO4 (10g/L) and H2SO4 (1.8mol/L) mixed with an equal volume].
3.10 Mercury standard stock solution. Weigh 0.1354g previously dried over phosphorus pentoxide 24h mercury dichloride, dissolved in a little water, and
50mL of nitric acid (3.2), 10mL potassium dichromate solution (3.5), water volume 1000mL, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 100μg mercury
(The standard storage solution is valid for five months).
3.11 Mercury standard solution A. Pipette 10.00mL mercury standard stock solution (3.10) in 100mL flask, add 5mL nitric acid
(3.2), 1mL potassium dichromate solution (3.5) with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 10μg mercury (this is valid for a standard solution
month).
3.12 Mercury standard solution B. Pipette 1.00mL mercury standard solution A (3.11) in 100mL flask, add 1mL potassium dichromate
(3.5) with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 0.1μg of mercury (when treated with existing service).
3.13 Mercury reducer. size is 20mL, 30mL, 80mL, with grinding mouth, reducing bottle equipped with automatic closure float.
More than 3.14 mercury absorber.
4 Instrument
Intelligent mercury analyzer, with GP3 type mercury lamp.
The following indicators were used in intelligent mercury meter in optimum working conditions, who can be used to achieve.
--- The detection limit. not more than 0.05 × 10-9g/mL;
