1 Scope
GB/T 5059 provisions of this part of the infrared absorption method for determination of carbon content in ferromolybdenum.
This section applies to the determination of carbon content in ferromolybdenum. Measurement range (mass fraction). 0.010% - 0.400%.
2 Normative references
The following documents for the application of this document is essential, dated references, only the dated version suitable for use herein
Member. For undated references, the latest edition (including any amendments) applies to this document.

Principle 3
The sample is heated in a high frequency induction furnace combustion flow of oxygen, carbon dioxide generated by the oxygen contained in the measuring chamber to the infrared analyzer dioxide
Carbon absorption in a specific wavelength of infrared energy absorbed is proportional to its concentration can change according to the received energy detector can measure the amount of carbon.
4 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled water or its equivalent purity water.
4.1 acetone, carbon residue after evaporation was less than 0.0005%.
4.2 Magnesium perchlorate anhydrous, granular.
4.3 asbestos caustic soda, granular.
4.4 glass wool.
4.5 tungsten particles, the amount of carbon is less than 0.002%, particle size of 0.8mm ~ 1.4mm.
4.6 tin particles, carbon content less than 0.002%, particle size 0.4mm ~ 0.8mm. If necessary with acetone (4.1) to clean the surface, and at room temperature
dry.
4.7 oxygen purity of more than 99.95%, if other levels of oxygen to obtain a low and consistent blank, can also be used.
4.8 Dynamic air, nitrogen or compressed air, which contaminants (oil and water) content of less than 0.5%.
4.9 Ceramic crucible diameter × height. 23mm × 23mm or 25mm × 25mm, and a high temperature above 1200 ℃ burning furnace
4h or burned in oxygen burning to blank the lowest value.
4.10 crucible tongs.
5 instruments and equipment
5.1 Dingtan infrared absorption instrument (sensitivity of 1.0 × 10-6), which means as shown in Figure 1.
