3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in ISO 1968 and ISO 18692-1 and the following apply.

Long-chain polymeric polyamides in which at least 85% of the amide bonds are directly attached to two aromatic rings.

The average strength of the aramid used in the rope core should not be less than 1.8N/tex, and the qualification test should be carried out in accordance with Appendix A.
