Technical requirements for concentrated mature cotton cultivation
1 Scope
This document stipulates the selection of varieties, planting system, growth process, preparation for planting, sowing, chemical regulation, water and fertilizer transportation for concentrated mature cotton cultivation.
Planning, pest and disease control, defoliation and ripening, centralized or mechanical harvesting requirements.
This document applies to the large-scale, simplified and mechanized production of cotton in the cotton-growing areas of the Northwest Inland, the Yellow River Basin and the Yangtze River Basin.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Cotton Maturity
It is expressed by the growth period from sowing seedlings to boll opening or the whole growth period from sowing seedlings to harvesting, which characterizes the growth and development speed of cotton varieties and
The characteristics of early or late maturity.
3.2
The entire cotton field is concentrated in a relatively short period of time to complete the boll opening.
3.3
Use cotton varieties with suitable maturity, sow at the right time, plant at a reasonable density, chemical regulation, water and fertilizer management, timely topping (capping), defoliation and ripening
And other measures are taken to achieve the cultivation and management methods for optimizing cotton boll formation and concentrated maturity.
3.4
Chemical topping
The method of using plant growth regulators in conjunction with water and fertilizer management and other measures to control apical dominance and achieve self-topping of cotton.
3.5
The sowing density of the single seed hole-sowing cotton field is calculated according to the predetermined plant spacing and row spacing or the number of sowing holes per unit area, and further calculated according to the seed germination rate.
The cotton seedling density was calculated based on the rate.
