3.1 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1.1
character
Chinese characters are allowed for Chinese domain name registration.
3.1.2
codepoint
Follow the UNICODE3.2 encoding rules and assign a unique number to each character.
3.1.3
Provides the range of registered characters used in domain name registration and management, as well as the mapping relationship between characters corresponding to simplified, traditional and variant forms.
The format is divided into four columns, the first column is the valid character column, the second column is the recommended character column, and the third column is the variant character column.

Note 2.The characters in the Chinese domain name registration table can also be expressed in code point form, but for the convenience of Chinese users, this document does not provide code point representation.
