Corrosion of metals and alloys Seawater pipeline dynamic water corrosion test

1 Scope

This document specifies the test method for dynamic water corrosion of pipelines simulated by controlling flow rate and temperature in natural seawater or artificial seawater. This document is applicable to pipeline dynamic water corrosion tests on plate specimens, tubular specimens and pipe fittings in natural seawater or artificial seawater.

2 Normative reference documents

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 10123 apply to this document.

4 Requirements for natural seawater test site

The main conditions that a natural seawater pipeline dynamic water corrosion test site should have are. a) The test site has a typical natural seawater environment; b) The water quality of the test site is clean and pollution-free, except when studying corrosion caused by pollution; c) The test site has necessary protection measures; d) Detailed information on the seawater environmental factors of the test site, such as water temperature, salinity, conductivity, pH value, oxygen content, sediment content, Changes in water level, seawater tides and current speeds, etc.; e) Regularly measure the water environment parameters of the test site. The measurement method shall refer to GB/T 17378.4.

5 Test facilities and instruments

5.1 General requirements The equipment and pipelines that make up the system should be made of materials that are resistant to seawater corrosion. The equipment materials should be made of highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel or titanium alloy. The connecting pipes should be made of highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel or titanium alloy. The road material should be steel pipes with anti-corrosion lining or rigid polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) pipes. 5.2 System structure The schematic diagram of the seawater pipeline dynamic corrosion test system used in this test is shown in Figure 1.
