Guidelines for Fire Hazard Analysis of Nuclear Power Plants
1 Scope
This document provides guidelines for fire hazard analysis of nuclear power plants, including data collection, fire development analysis and fire effect analysis, prevention
Evaluation of adequacy of fire safety measures, iterative analysis and quality assurance, etc.
This document is applicable to the nuclear island plant and other nuclear safety related plants of the newly built or in operation onshore fixed thermal neutron reactor nuclear power plant and other nuclear safety related plants.
For the fire hazard analysis of equipment workshops, other types of nuclear power plants and nuclear facilities can be used as a reference.

Combustion
The exothermic reaction between a substance and oxygen is usually accompanied by the production of flames, and/or light emission, and/or the production of smoke.
3.2
Fire
A combustion process characterized by heat emission and accompanied by smoke or flame or both, spreading in time or space in an uncontrollable form.
3.3
Fire barrier
A barrier used to limit the consequences of a fire.
Note. Including walls, floors, ceilings or devices used to block door openings, gates, penetrating parts and ventilation systems.
3.4
Fire zone firecompartment
A factory building or part of a factory building constructed to prevent the fire from spreading within a specified time.
Note. The fire zone may consist of one or more rooms, all of which are surrounded by fire barriers.
3.5
Fire zone firecel
In order to protect important safety items, set up fire protection facilities (such as limiting the amount of combustible materials, space separation, fixed fire extinguishing systems, fire protection coatings)
Or other facilities) to isolate the fire area.
Note. Through this setting, the isolated system will not be significantly damaged.
3.6
Fire load
The sum of all combustible materials (including walls, partitions, floors and ceiling surfaces) that may be burned to release heat in the space.
