1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements, test signals, measurement methods and measurement data processing methods for the color gamut measurement of flat panel displays.
This standard applies to television receivers (hereinafter referred to as receivers) and television monitors (hereinafter referred to as monitors) using flat-panel displays.
Color gamut measurement. Refer to the color gamut measurement of receivers and displays using other display screens, as well as electronic projection equipment and computer displays

Background
The part outside the color sampling area in the measured image.
3.1.2
Color sampling area colorpatch
The range of the measurement area in the measured image is filled with the red, green or blue primary color normalized by the reference white amplitude, or other brightness, hue and color
The saturation of the color of the chromaticity coordinate value to be measured.

Measurement area testarea
The effective measurement range in the color sampling area of the measured image.
3.1.4
Colorspace
In the TV system, all colors are represented in a three-dimensional space represented by groups of three mutually independent components corresponding to three coordinate axes.
