1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of building economy. This standard applies to activities in the building economy and related fields.

2 Terms and definitions

2.1 Officebuilding A building that provides space, facilities and supporting services for business office activities. 2.2 Retailbuilding Buildings that provide space, facilities and supporting services for commercial activities. 2.3 Buildingeconomy With commercial and commercial buildings as the main carriers, the economic activities of related industries are gathered, derivated, and diffused through development, lease, and sale. 2.4 Stock The total area of buildings available for rent at a certain point in time. 2.5 Increment The total area of newly added buildings available for lease during the statistical period. 2.6 Absorption The total floor area of buildings leased during the statistical period. 2.7 Net absorption The difference between the newly rented building area and the newly released leased building area during the statistical period. 2.8 Absorptionperiod The time it takes to rent out all the available building construction area. 2.9 Leasingrate The percentage of the rentable area in the building.
