Non-destructive testing of magnetic flux leakage of ferromagnetic pipe fittings
Detection method
1 Scope
This standard stipulates the method of using external magnetization to detect the magnetic flux leakage of the ferromagnetic pipe wall thickness loss.
This standard applies to the manufacture, processing and manufacture of ferromagnetic pipe fittings with an outer diameter of not less than 10 mm and a wall thickness of not more than 20 mm (except welded pipes)
On-line detection of wall thickness loss of pipe fittings during the repair process. This standard also applies to the automatic loss of wall thickness of petroleum pipes and end-thickened steel pipes
Detection.

4 Method summary
4.1 Detection principle
The principle of the magnetic flux leakage detection of the wall thickness loss of the pipe is shown in Figure 1.The position of the wall thickness loss is detected by the magnetization of the external DC magnetic field.
As the magnetic resistance increases, the magnetic field lines will be distorted accordingly, and some of the magnetic field lines will leak into the external space of the pipe to form a leakage magnetic field. Due to the leakage magnetic field and wall thickness
The depth of the loss is related to the size, so the wall thickness loss magnetic flux leakage detection system passes the wall thickness detection probe (Hall element, tunnel is usually used inside
(Magnetoresistive element, giant magnetoresistive element and other magnetic field sensors) and the relative movement of the tube to be detected, the leakage magnetic field signal is detected, after signal processing and data
After the analysis, the graph curve of the pipe wall thickness detection is formed.
The magnetic flux leakage detection system for wall thickness loss compares the signal obtained by the tested pipe fitting with the comparison sample to detect the pipe fitting with excessive wall thickness loss.
The pipe fitting triggers an alarm and makes a mark.
