1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for the determination of sulfuric acid mist in exhaust gas from sulfuric acid industry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of sulfuric acid mist in exhaust gas emitted from stationary pollution sources of sulfuric acid production enterprises.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Sulphuricacidmist
Sulfuric acid production enterprises fixed sources of pollution discharge small sulfuric acid droplets and sulfur trioxide in the tail gas.
4 Principle
Use glass fiber filter cartridges or quartz fiber filter cartridges to connect the absorption bottles of isopropyl alcohol solution in series to collect the sulfur in the tail gas discharged from stationary pollution sources
Acid mist. The sampling filter cartridge captures small droplets of sulfuric acid, and the sulfuric acid content is determined by acid-base titration, which is converted to sulfuric acid mist content ρ1;
The isopropyl alcohol solution captures sulfur trioxide gas and fine droplets that penetrate the filter cartridge, using the thorium reagent as an indicator, and titrating the solution with a standard barium perchlorate titration solution
Determine the generated sulfate radicals and calculate the sulfuric acid mist content ρ2 in the absorption liquid; add the sulfuric acid mist content in the sampling filter cartridge and the isopropyl alcohol absorption liquid,
Calculate the sulfuric acid mist content in the exhaust gas (ρ = ρ1 ρ2).
5 General provisions
The reagents and water used in the test refer to analytically pure reagents and tertiary water specified in GB/T 6682 when no requirements are indicated.
The standard titration solutions, preparations and products used are prepared according to the provisions of GB/T 601 and GB/T 603 unless other requirements are indicated.
