1 Scope
This part of GB/T 38144 specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, identification and use of emergency spray and eyewash equipment
Instructions, etc.

3 terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Emergency sprinkler emergencyshower
Equipment for whole-body showers in emergencies.
3.2
Eyewash
Equipment for irrigating the eyes.
3.3
Eye/facewash
A device for washing eyes and face at the same time.
3.4
Flow pressure
The pressure value of the emergency equipment water inlet when the equipment valve is fully opened and there is water flowing.
3.5
Flushing fluid
All liquids that meet drinking water hygiene standards or are medically approved to clean the eyes.
3.6
Valve actuator
Device that controls the opening and closing of a valve.
3.7
Self-contained
The device does not need to be connected to a water source, it can be filled with flushing liquid and can be used independently.
