1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for impregnation and corrosion of graphite components, inspection and acceptance, marking, storage and management.
This standard applies to the following impermeable graphite graphite device impregnation operation.
a) The maximum working pressure ≤ 2.4MPa;
b) graphite wall temperature between -70 ℃ ~ 400 ℃.
This standard does not apply to the following graphite containers.
a) Graphite vessels in nuclear installations;
b) Casting graphite equipment.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Impervious graphite imperviousgraphite
The current industrial level (maximum working pressure ≤ 2.4MPa, -70 ℃ ~ 400 ℃ under the conditions) does not penetrate gas and liquid graphite materials.
Note. impregnated graphite, pressure (including extrusion and molding) graphite, graphite and graphite composite casting.

An organic or inorganic liquid material (impregnating agent) is pressed into the void of the graphite material to be cured.
Note. Common phenolic impregnated graphite, furan impregnated graphite, PTFE impregnated graphite, water glass impregnated graphite.

Materials used to impregnate pores of carbon or graphite materials and impermeable to carbon or graphite materials by a curing process.
