Determination of formaldehyde content of surfactants and detergents
1 Scope
This standard specifies the use of spectrophotometry and liquid chromatography method for the determination of formaldehyde content of surfactants and detergents.
This standard applies to the determination of formaldehyde content of surfactants and detergents.
This standard spectrophotometry is suitable for the determination of the total formaldehyde content of the sample (containing formaldehyde emission body) content, liquid chromatography for the determination of test
Free formaldehyde content in the sample.

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version applies to this article
Pieces. For undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.
GB/T 6682 analytical laboratory water specifications and test methods
QB/T 2739-2005 Common test methods for cleaning products Preparation of test solution for titration analysis (volumetric analysis)
3 total formaldehyde (containing formaldehyde emission body) content determination --- Spectrophotometry
3.1 principle
Formaldehyde reacts with acetylacetone in the presence of ammonium acetate to form a yellow complex, which is measured with a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 410 nm
Absorbance of the compound.
3.2 Reagents
Unless otherwise specified, only reagents identified as analytical grade and Grade III water conforming to GB/T 6682 are used in the analysis.
3.2.1 Glacial acetic acid.
3.2.2 Ammonium acetate.
3.2.3 isopropanol.
3.2.4 Acetylacetone.
3.2.5 Preparation of Acetylacetone Reagent. Dissolve 75 g of ammonium acetate (3.2.2) in about.200 mL of water, add 1.0 mL of acetylacetone (3.2.4)
And 1.5mL glacial acetic acid (3.2.1), diluted with water to 500mL mix. This reagent should be used now with.
3.2.6 Preparation of reference reagents. Prepared according to 3.2.5 but without acetylacetone.
3.3 Instruments
Common laboratory equipment and the following.
3.3.1 Spectrophotometer, the wavelength range of 360nm ~ 800nm, with a light path length of 10mm cuvette.
3.3.2 water bath, can be controlled at (60 ± 1) ℃.
3.3.3 Analytical balance, flu 0.1mg.
3.3.4 volumetric flask. 50mL, 100mL, 500mL.
