1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, principles, test instruments, samples, test methods, and methods for determining the transmittance of daily-use porcelain products and carcass materials.

Translucency
The degree to which visible light penetrates porcelain products or carcass materials.

According to the measurement object, it is divided into the light transmittance of the product and the light transmittance of the carcass material.
4 Principle
4.1 Product transmittance
The product transmittance Tz is the ratio of the transmitted light intensity It to the incident light intensity I0.The principle is shown in Figure 1, and it is calculated according to formula (1).
