Introduction
Tin has excellent properties such as soft texture, low melting point and strong ductility. It is mainly used in the manufacture of solder, tinplate, alloys, chemical products, etc.
GB/T 3260 "Chemical Analysis Methods for Tin" aims to establish a complete set of chemical analysis methods for tin, combined with the requirements of standard system optimization work.
After integration, it is planned to consist of 8 parts.
Part 1.Determination of copper, lead, zinc, cadmium, silver, nickel and cobalt content - Flame atomic absorption spectrometry;
Part 2.Determination of iron content 1,10﹘phenanthroline spectrophotometric method;
Part 3.Determination of bismuth content - Potassium iodide spectrophotometry and flame atomic absorption spectrometry;
Part 5.Determination of antimony content - Malachite green spectrophotometric method;
Part 6.Determination of arsenic content - Malachite green x arsenomolybdate heteropoly acid spectrophotometric method;
Part 7.Determination of aluminum content - Electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry;
Part 9.Determination of sulfur content - High frequency induction furnace combustion infrared absorption method;
Part 11.Determination of copper, iron, bismuth, lead, antimony, arsenic, aluminium, zinc, cadmium, silver, nickel and cobalt contents - Inductively coupled plasma
Bulk atomic emission spectroscopy.
Atomic absorption spectrometry has the advantages of high selectivity, simple operation and high sensitivity, and has been widely used in non-ferrous metals and their compounds.
Determination of impurity elements. This document is an integrated revision of Part 1, Part 4, Part 8 and Part 10 of GB/T 3260.
The integration and revision of this document will be operational, scientific and reasonable, and will help promote the development of tin
The trade of products should unify the determination methods of copper, lead, zinc, cadmium, silver, nickel and cobalt content in tin to avoid errors caused by using different methods.
Disputes, providing solutions to adjudicate differences.

3 Terms and definitions
There are no terms or definitions that require definition in this document.
4 Principle
The sample was dissolved with hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, and a large amount of tin was removed with hydrochloric acid and hydrobromic acid. In the mixed acid medium of hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, air and acetylene flame were used.
Flame, at the recommended wavelength of each element in the atomic absorption spectrometer, measure the absorbance of copper, lead, zinc, cadmium, silver, nickel and cobalt respectively.
The content of each element was calculated by line method.
5 Reagents
Unless otherwise specified, only reagents of confirmed high purity and secondary water that complies with GB/T 6682 were used in the analysis.
5.1 Hydrochloric acid (ρ=1.19 g/mL).
5.2 Nitric acid (ρ=1.42 g/mL).
