1 Scope
This standard specifies the determination of the carbon content of the carbon fiber combustion absorption spectrometry method.
This standard applies to carbon fiber tow, filaments, staple fibers, woven, knitted and knitted fabrics and other carbon fiber and products.

Carbon combustion in oxygen to form carbon dioxide, the carbon dioxide produced by absorbing and calculated by the incremental mass of carbon absorber
fraction.
4 Sample Preparation
4.1 Sample Pretreatment
Carbon fiber should be GB/T 29761 removing carbon fiber sizing. Washed with distilled water if necessary after 105 ℃ ~ 110 ℃
Dried, placed in a desiccator to cool to room temperature before use.
4.2 Sample crush
The samples were cut into small pieces less than 0.5mm or agate mortar milled to 0.5mm or less, less than 1g, mix. The crushed sample
Sample in the weighing bottle, dried to constant weight at 105 ℃ ~ 110 ℃ oven, and placed in a desiccator.
5 Reagents and materials
5.1 lead chromate, AR, will lead chromate beaker with distilled water into a paste, into the oven, 80 ℃ maintained 0.5h, having a diameter of
1cm sphere, placed in a muffle furnace at 600 ℃ burning 1h, taken out and cooled.
5.2 linear copper oxide, AR, about 5mm.
5.3 silver volume, high purity, wire diameter of about 0.2mm, its volume growth of about 30mm, 22mm diameter solid cylinder.
5.4 copper volume, high purity, the purpose of taking 125 copper mesh, which is the volume growth of about 30mm, about 22mm in diameter solid cylinder.
5.5 alkali asbestos, AR.
5.6 particulate manganese dioxide, AR, take particle size 0.5mm ~ 2mm, dried at 150 ℃ ± 3 ℃ 2h ~ 3h.
5.7 tungsten trioxide, AR.
5.8 soda lime, AR, before use at 105 ℃ ~ 110 ℃ dried at not less than 1h.
