3 PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD

The spent palladium carbon catalyst was removed by high-temperature burning method wherein the activated carbon and collecting the combustion gas containing fine particles of palladium, use of formic acid Original palladium oxide to metal, aqua regia dissolution of palladium into the solution, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer Determination of palladium.

4 Reagents and materials

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical reagents and secondary distilled water or equivalent purity. 4.1 hydrochloric acid (ρ = 1.19g/mL). 4.2 nitric acid (ρ = 1.42g/mL). Acid 4.3 (ρ = 1.22g/mL). 4.4 hydrochloride (11). 4.5 formic acid (199). 4.6 NaCl. (50g/L). 4.7 mixed acid. hydrochloric acid (4.1) and nitrate (4.2) by volume ratio 3.1 mix formulated with time. 4.8 porcelain boat. 4.9 palladium standard stock solution. Weigh 1.0000g of palladium metal (mass fraction of not less than 99.99%), placed in 200mL beaker, add 40mL mixed acid (4.7), Cover the surface of pan, over low heat until completely dissolved. Rinse the beaker and watch glass wall, adding 1mL sodium chloride solution (4.6), low temperature steam to Wet salt form. Added 5mL hydrochloric acid (4.1), low temperature steam to the wet salt-like, repeated three times removed. Added 50mL of hydrochloric acid (4.4), low-temperature heating to Salt dissolve completely. Moved into 1000mL volumetric flask, cooled to room temperature, diluted with water to volume, and mix. This solution containing 1mL 1000μg palladium. 4.10 Palladium standard solution. Pipette 10mL palladium standard stock solution (4.9) to 100mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. this 1mL solution containing 100μg palladium.
