This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. This standard uses redrafted law revision using ISO 105-X18.2007 "Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Part X18. Potential phenol Yellowing of assessments "(in English). This standard and ISO 105-X18.2007 main differences are as follows. --- Deleted international standards in the preface; --- Normative references in the international standard to replace the corresponding national standards and industry standards; --- Simplifies the description of the principle in Chapter 4, an increase of note; --- Increased 5.3; --- Deleted the 7.3 dimensional tolerances; --- Increased 8.3 Note; --- The control sample 9.2 "yellowing phenomenon does not appear" to "yellowing series higher than grade 3"; --- Increased 9.3 Note; --- Chapter 10 increased d). 1 Scope

This standard specifies the method to assess the potential of textile materials phenolic yellowing. This Standard applies only to produce phenolic yellowing situation for textile materials, not involved in the case for some other reason it yellowed. NOTE. Use this method does not guarantee the test material non-yellowing in some other form. This method is used as a screening test in the actual situation on the detected hair Yellowing of the existing material to take remedial measures to effectively reduce the dispute arising from phenolic yellowing caused.
