Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 2969-2008 "Samarium Oxide". Compared with GB/T 2969-2008, the main technical changes except for editorial changes Change as follows. ---Added character brand (see 3.1 and 3.2); ---Modified the assessment index of the rare earth impurity praseodymium and total amount in the grade Sm2O3-4N, and adjusted the non-rare earth impurities Fe2O3 and SiO2 The evaluation indicators (see 3.2, 3.1 of the.2008 edition); ---Added the grade Sm2O3-3N5 (see 3.2); ---Modified some non-rare earth impurities of the grades Sm2O3-2N5 and Sm2O3-2N (see 3.2, 3.1 in the.2008 edition); ---Added the assessment index and calculation method of the main rare earth element Sm2O3 (see 3.2); --- Modified rare earth impurities, deleted the denominator REO (see 3.2, 3.1 in the.2008 edition); ---The burning loss index is modified as the combined amount index of moisture and burning loss (see 3.2, 3.1 in the.2008 edition); ---Added the note that all tests are the state before burning after removing water (see 3.2); ---Modified the analysis method of the total content of rare earths (REO), and added that when the total amount of rare earths measured is more than 99%, the rare earths are calculated by the subtraction method. 1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificates of samarium oxide. This standard applies to samarium oxide prepared by extraction or other methods for the production of metal samarium, magnetic materials, electronic components, etc.

3 Technical requirements

3.1 Product Classification The products are divided into five grades of Sm2O3-4N, Sm2O3-3N5, Sm2O3-3N, Sm2O3-2N5, Sm2O3-2N according to their chemical composition. The method of designation should comply with GB/T 17803. 3.2 Chemical composition The chemical composition of the product should meet the requirements of Table 1.If the buyer has special requirements, the supplier and the buyer can negotiate separately.
