1 Scope
This part of the standard specifies the transport plane SDH Automatic Switched Optical Network (ASON) based control plane, management plane, signaling
Communication Network (SCN), the protection of test recovery, ASON network services, interoperability with traditional SDH network, and other aspects of planning and simulation software
content.
This section applies to devices based on SDH ITU-TG.783 function defined for the transport plane ASON network.
Note. Unlike the traditional SDH network interoperability testing, see Appendix A, planning simulation software functional verification Appendix B.
