1 Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements for industrial metal valve installation, use and maintenance.
This standard applies to gate, globe valves, throttle valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, diaphragm valves, plug valves, check valves, safety valves, pressure reducing valves, steam traps,
Control valves and other types of valves.

3 Definition of Terms

4 Installation
4.1 Pre-installation check
