Part 8. Determination of nitrate content
Ion Selective Electrode
1 Scope
This section GB/T 23278 specifies the method for the determination of tin in sodium nitrate.
This section applies to the determination of tin in sodium nitrate, was measured in the range of 0.020% to 0.60%.
2 Method summary
Sample completely decomposed with water, with dilute sulfuric acid and to completely precipitate was filtered, nitrates and Sn (Ⅳ) separation, then pH4 ~ pH5
Aluminum sulfate - silver sulfate - boric acid - amino acid medium to film nitrate ion electrode as indicator electrode with ion meter or pH/mV measurements
Measured nitrate.
3 Reagents
Test water for the three distilled water.
3.1 Stannous sulfate.
3.2 sulfate (1 + 1).
3.3 sulfate (5 + 1).
3.4 Sodium hydroxide solution (200g/L).
Aluminum sulfate 3.5 - silver sulfate - boric acid solution. Weigh 16.7g of aluminum sulfate [Al2 (SO4) 3 · 18H2O], 4.7g silver sulfate, 1.2g of boric acid,
It was dissolved in 900mL of water, diluted with water to 1000mL, stored in a brown bottle.
3.6 sulfamic acid solution (25g/L).
3.7 methyl orange solution (1g/L).
3.8 Storage nitrate standard solution. Weigh 4.0775g potassium nitrate (at 120 ℃ ~ 130 ℃ drying to constant weight), placed in 250mL beaker
Added 20mL of water was dissolved and transferred to 250mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 10mg of nitrate
(NO-3).
3.9 nitrate standard solution A. Pipette 50.00mL nitrate standard stock solution (3.8) in 500mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water
Degree, and mix. 1mL solution containing 1mg nitrate (NO-3).
3.10 nitrate standard solution B. Pipette 50.00mL nitrate standard solution (3.9) in 500mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water
Degree, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 0.1mg nitrate (NO-3).
4 Instrument
4.1 nitrate ion selective electrode. Requires nitrate content in 10-2mol/L ~ 10-4mol/L, the negative electrode potential and the logarithm of the concentration
A linear relationship. Before using the electrode should be pulled out of the protective cover, and then washed with water to the potential value of greater than 300mV above were measured.
4.2 reference electrode.
4.3 ion meter or pH/mV meter. accuracy 0.1mV.
4.4 magnetic stirrer.
5 Sample
The sample should be sealed packaging.
