Methods for chemical analysis of sodium stannate
Part 1. Determination of tin content potassium iodate titration
1 Scope
This section GB/T 23278 specifies the method for determination of sodium tin tin content.
This section applies to the determination of tin tin sodium content was measured in the range of 35.00% ~ 44.00%.
2 Method summary
The sample was dissolved by hydrochloric acid with iron powder, aluminum reduction tin (Ⅳ) tin (Ⅱ), iron powder to eliminate the influence of dissolved oxygen, starch indicator, iodine
Potassium standard solution titration tin (Ⅱ).
3 Reagents and apparatus
Test water for the three distilled water.
3.1 aluminum (mass fraction ≥99.5%).
3.2 reduced iron (by 0.074mm sieve).
3.3 tin (mass fraction ≥99.85%).
3.4 hydrochloride (ρ1.19g/mL).
3.5 HCl (1 + 1).
3.6 standard potassium iodate titration solution [Ba (1/6KIO3) = 0.05mol/L].
3.6.1 preparation. Weigh 17.9g of potassium iodate dissolved in 500mL of water was added 89.5g of potassium iodide and 10g anhydrous sodium carbonate dissolved in water
Diluted to 10L, shake.
3.6.2 Calibration. Weigh 0.1200g (m1 0) tin (3.3) placed in 300mL conical flask, 1g reduced iron (3.2), 80mL
Hydrochloric acid (3.5), the reduction means connected to the flask. Low tin heated to dissolve, add 20mL water, was added 1.5g of aluminum (3.1). continuous
Shake the flask to dissolve most metals aluminum, heating was continued to boil test solution to produce large bubbles about 1 minute. Under the protection of carbon dioxide gas,
The Erlenmeyer flask into the cold water bath to cool to room temperature. Remove the conical flask and immediately 5mL starch solution (3.7), a standard titration with potassium iodate
Light blue solution was titrated to the end point (Vp 1). At the same time a blank test (V0).
According to equation (1) to calculate the actual concentration of potassium iodate standard titration solution.
Ba m1 = 0
· W1 (Sn)
59.35 × (Vp Vp 1- 0) × 10-3
(1)
Where.
Ba --- the actual concentration of potassium iodate standard titration solution, expressed in moles per liter (mol/L);
M1 0 --- metal tin in grams (g);
Quality w1 (Sn) --- tin fraction;
When Vp 1 --- calibration standard potassium iodate titration titration volume consumed tin standard solution, in milliliters (mL);
V0 --- the calibration, the volume of standard potassium iodate titration titration blank test solution consumed solution in milliliters (mL);
59.35 --- tin (1/2Sn) molar mass in grams per mole (g/mol).
When three parallel calibration, the poor value of not more than 1.5 × 10-4mol/L, the mean value, or re-calibration.
3.7 starch solution (10g/L). Weigh 1g of soluble starch into 300mL beaker, add 20mL water, slurried with stirring plus
Into 20mL of sodium hydroxide solution (25g/L), and dissolved with stirring, was added 60mL of water.
3.8 carbon dioxide gas.
