4 Reagents and materials

4.1 Methanol. chromatographically pure.
4.2 methyl tert-butyl ether. chromatography.
4.3 dichloromethane. chromatography.
4.4 acetone. pure class distinctions.
4.5 tert-butyl-p-cresol (BHT). purity > 99%.
4.6 acetone solution containing 0.1% BHT. The Weigh 0.500gBHT (4.5) in 500mL volumetric flask, dissolve and fixed with acetone (4.4)
