Introduction
Vulcanized thermoplastic elastomer both thermoset rubber and a variety of features and performance thermoplastic materials. Therefore, when the rubber and plastics industries for
Classification and nomenclature system approved polymers this rapid development is very important. Acronyms existing rubber naming standard (ISO 1629) and
Plastic Acronyms standard (ISO 1043-1) are not suitable for the current system of classification and naming of the polymer. This standard is established in order to avoid interest punch
Projections or ill-defined, allowing the use of existing explanations of abbreviations abbreviations in the thermoplastic elastomer, but also to allow for future growth and expansion.
Abbreviations used in this standard have been specified. The aim is to avoid the thermoplastic elastomer has a predetermined plurality of terms have occurred, and
Abbreviations existing situation can be avoided given the occurrence of multiple interpretations. Therefore, the rational use of this standard ISO 1043-1 and ISO 1629
Terms and symbols are listed.

The thermoplastic elastomer naming and Acronyms
1 Scope
This standard established a naming system associated with the polymer and chemical composition of the polymer-based thermoplastic elastomer. It provides workers
Industry, business and government symbols and abbreviations used to identify a thermoplastic elastomer. This standard does not establish with existing trade names and trademarks
Conflict, but to complement them.
Note 1. Acronyms elastomer name specified in this standard should be used in the technical documentation and literature.
Note 2. Appendix A gives the thermoplastic elastomer used in the past in material standards, technical bulletins, textbooks, patents and trade literature Acronyms.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this standard and become the standard terms. For dated references, subsequent
Amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this standard, however, encourage the parties to the agreement are based on research
Whether the latest versions of these documents. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this standard.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
TPE
The thermoplastic elastomer comprises a polymer or mixture of polymers, properties and use temperature vulcanized rubber which is similar to, but also can be used like thermoplastics
Like plastic processed and reprocessed by raising the temperature.
NOTE. thermoplastic rubber is normally used as a thermoplastic elastomer term use.
3.2
TP
TP used to represent the thermoplastic elastomer Abbreviations prefix.
4 naming system
4.1 After the prefix TP should be coupled with the characterization of the thermoplastic elastomer class letters, see Chapter 5.
Acronyms 4.2 Each of the thermoplastic elastomer should be added descriptor exclusive part of each category, see Chapter 6, after the hyphen.
Category 5 TPE
5.1 TPA
Polyamide-based thermoplastic elastomer (polyamidethermoplasticelastomer), by an interaction block hard segment and soft segment copolymer
The composition of the hard segment of the chemical chain amide, an ether soft segment and (or) ester linkage.
5.2 TPC
Copolyester thermoplastic elastomer (copolyesterthermoplasticelastomer), by an interaction hard segment and a soft block segment of the above
Copolymer composition, is an ester and (or) ether main chain.
