Foreword
GB/T 21196 "Textiles Martindale method - Determination of abrasion resistance of fabric" includes the following four parts.
--- Part 1. Martindale abrasion testing apparatus;
--- Part 2. Determination of specimen breakdown;
--- Part 3. Determination of mass loss;
--- Part 4. Assessment of appearance change.
This section GB/T Part of 321,196.
The partial modification of international standard ISO 12947-3.1998 "Textiles - Determination of abrasion resistance of fabrics by the Martindale method - Part 3.
Determination of mass loss. "
This part of ISO 12947-3.1998 is the main differences.
1. Some will apply international standards to apply to the description of the standard formulation.
2. "Normative references" in international standards with the corresponding national standards in place.
3. Scope increased coated fabrics and increases the content in chapters 4 and 7.7.
4.7.1 increase "the number of batches of samples by the corresponding product standards or agreed upon by the parties to extract."
5. Chapter 8 Remove the weighed sample to sample components weighed.
6. Chapter 9 increased wear index formula.
7. In Chapter 10, he joined the "abrasive used description", the following sequence of numbers postponed.
This section of Appendix A normative appendix.
This part is proposed by the China Textile Industry Association.
This part of the National Standardization Technical Committee based textile branch (SAC/TC209/SC1) centralized.
This part from the textile Standardization Institute, Textile Standard (Beijing) Inspection and Certification Center Co., Ltd., Wenzhou-Textile Instruments Co.,

Textiles - Determination of abrasion resistance of fabrics by the Martindale method
Part 3. Determination of mass loss
1 Scope
This section GB/T 21196 specifies the quality loss of the samples to determine the fabric abrasion resistance test method.
This section applies to all textile fabrics including nonwovens and coated fabrics.
This section does not apply to particular wear short-lived fabrics.
Note. This standard Part 1 gives a more detailed description.

Principle 4
Round specimen mounted in the Martindale abrasion tester specimen holder, in a predetermined frictional load, as the track is Lisha Ru (Lis-
sajous) planar motion graphics with standard abrasive friction, specimen holder freely rotatable about its axis perpendicular to the horizontal rotation. In the trial
During said interval quality sample taken to determine the abrasion resistance of the fabric according to the mass loss of the sample.
Specimen mounted on the specimen clamp pad of foam. When the unit mass of a sample area of more than 500g/m2, without foam
Material liner. For without the foam liner napping and corduroy fabric, should be prescribed pre-treatment (see 7.5.2).
This section provides three friction load parameters. Frictional load total effective mass (ie, the mass of the sample quality and loading of the clamp assembly
And) as follows.
a) (795 ± 7) g (nominal pressure 12kPa). suitable for clothes, furniture upholstery, bed linen and industrial fabrics.
b) (595 ± 7) g (nominal pressure 9kPa). suitable for administration and home textiles (not including furniture upholstery and bed linen
Product); also applies to non-coated fabric taken.
c) (198 ± 2) g (nominal pressure 3kPa). applies to taking classes coated fabric.
According to the number of samples expected friction breakage, in each gear rubs established the mass loss of the sample (see Table 1) was measured.
