Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 20848-2007 "mooring chain." This standard compared with GB/T 20848-2007, the main technical changes as follows. --- Added LTM shackle definition (see 3.6); --- Added mooring chain ordinary file chain link, ordinary no chain link, LTM-type connection shackle, LTM-type end shackle type and ruler Inch (see 4.2); --- Added R4S level and R5 level mooring chain requirements (see Table 1, Table 8); --- Increase the R4S level and R5 mooring chain forbidden welding gear requirements (see 5.4.5); --- Modify the ordinary link (to the diameter of 210mm) crown diameter allowable negative tolerance requirements (see 5.5.4,.2007 version 5.5.3); --- Modify mooring chain mechanical properties (see Table 10,.2007 edition of Table 4).
