This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 20811-2006 "Recycling Technology Requirements for Waste Paper". Major changes compared to GB 20811-2006
as follows.
---The standard name was changed from "Recycling Technology Requirements for Waste Paper" to "Technical Requirements for Waste Paper Classification";
--- Removed the definition of "hazardous substances", added "waste paper" and "impurities", "unqualified waste paper" was changed to "paper", "sales quality"
Revised to “contract quality” and revised the definition of “forbidden object” (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the.2006 edition);
--- Refined the classification of waste paper and added the waste paper classification code (see Chapter 3 of Chapter 3.1,.2006);
--- Revised the calculation method for the percentage difference in quality (see Appendix B, Appendix B of the.2006 edition).

Waste paper classification technical requirements
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods and inspection rules of waste paper.
This standard applies to the recycling, trade and inspection of domestic waste paper used in the paper industry.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
2.1
Waste paperand boardforrecycling
Used and discarded paper and paperboard that can be recycled as renewable resources.
2.2
Forbidden prohibitedmaterials
Substances that pose a hazard to human health, safety and the environment.
Note. such as medical waste, contaminated personal hygiene products, hazardous waste, asphalt, toxic powders, radioactive materials, asbestos and similar substances.
2.3
Impurity non-papercomponents
Foreign substances that are not part of the waste paper and can be sorted by dry method.
Note. such as metal, plastic, glass, textiles, wood, sand and building materials, synthetic materials, etc.

Miscellaneous paperandboardnotaccordingtoclassificationrequirement
Other types of waste paper contained in certain types of waste paper that do not meet the intended use of such waste paper.
