Foreword
GB/T 19721 "Marine forecast and alarm release" is divided into three parts.
- Part 1. Storm surge alarm release;
- Part 2. Wave Forecast and Alert Release;
Part 3. Sea ice forecast and warning release.
This part is part 2 of GB/T 19721.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This section replaces GB/T 19721.2-2005 "Marine Forecast and Alert Release Part 2. Wave Forecast and Alert Release". versus
GB/T 19721.2-2005 compared to the main changes are as follows.
- the definition of terms such as "waves" and "effective waves" (see 3.2, 3.5 in.2005);
- the definition of terms such as "effective wave height", "wave", "wave cycle", "wave level", "coastal waters", "offshore sea area"
