Compared with GB/T 19557.6-2004, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) 5 traits were deleted. "evenness of stalks", "regularity of growth", "softness of raw hemp", "state of stem attachment on the ground", "average annual fiber fineness".

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 19557.1 apply to this document.

Ramie begins to reproduce and grow (the appearance is characterized by budding and flowering) to the short-day requirement.
Budding and flowering under long-sun conditions in the middle and late stages of the growth of hemp are insensitivity to short-day sunshine;
Buds and flowering can only be budded and flowered under the short-day conditions of Sanma, which means they are sensitive to short-day sunshine.
