In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
a) The terms and definitions of GMDSS ships and non-GMDSS ships are deleted (see 3:1 and 3:2 of the:2004 edition);
b) Added the technical characteristics of the radio (see Chapter 4);
c) Change the specific provisions of station identification to refer to JT/T 626 (see 5:4, 5:1~5:5 of the:2004 edition);
d) Added radio system data (see 7:3);
e) Changed the station license file (see 9:1 and 9:2, 9:1 and 9:3 of the:2004 edition);
f) Deleted the content of the technical data provided for GMDSS ship stations built after:1995 (see 9:2 of the:2004 edition);
g) changed the priority of communication (see Chapter 10, Chapter 10 of the:2004 edition);
