This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 19380-2003 "delineation of waterborne high iodine areas and local high iodine goiter sites".
This standard compared with GB/T 19380-2003, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- modified the name of the standard;
--- delete the normative reference document GB/T 5750 "drinking water standard test method", an increase of the normative reference document WS276
"Diagnostic criteria for endemic goiter";
- the definition of high iodine areas and high iodine sick areas;
--- modified the high iodine and high iodine disease area designated technical indicators;
- Appropriate additions to the original standard Appendix A sampling method.

1 Scope
This standard specifies the water quality of iodine and high iodine disease area of the designated indicators and methods.
