This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"

This document replaces GB/T 18927-2002 "Metal Accessories for Packaging Containers". Compared with GB/T 18927-2002, in addition to the structural adjustment
Besides the editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
-- Changed the terms and definitions of metal accessories (see 3.1,.2002 edition 3.1);
--Changed the technical requirements for lifting guardrails (see 5.1,.2002 edition 5.1);
--Changed the requirements for ventilation windows (see 5.4,.2002 edition 5.4);

1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for metal accessories for transport packaging containers.
This document applies to metal accessories such as lifting guard irons, corner irons, edge irons, ventilation windows, hinges and clips.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 4122.4 and the following apply to this document.
3.1
Metal accessories
Metal parts used in transport packaging containers for structural reinforcement and/or auxiliary functions.
4 General requirements
4.1 Unless otherwise specified, various metal accessories should be made of hot-rolled steel plates specified in GB/T 709 or ordinary carbon steel specified in GB/T 700.
And high-quality carbon structural steel specified in GB/T 699.
4.2 Dimensional tolerances shall comply with the IT14 tolerance grade requirements specified in GB/T 1800.2-2020.
4.3 Metal accessories should be treated to prevent rust.
4.4 The surface of metal accessories should be smooth and free of burrs.
4.5 The structural type and size requirements of metal accessories can be changed appropriately according to the conditions of the packaging container, but the size requirements should not be less than those in this document.
