This document describes the tests for the evaluation of drips/particulates from the burning of a single insulated wire or cable or fiber optic cable under specified flame conditions
method.
Note. If necessary, carry out the test of this document and the test of GB/T 18380.12 simultaneously.
Appendix A gives recommended performance requirements.
This document specifies the general usage of the 1kW premixed flame, and is not suitable for testing small-scale singles with a total cross-sectional area less than 0.5mm2.
A wire and cable, because its conductors will be melted before the end of the test, nor is it suitable for thin fiber optic cables, because the fiber optic cable will break before the end of the test.
