Foreword
GB/T 18208 "seismic field work" is divided into four parts.
--- Part 1. Basic requirements;
--- Part 2. Safety assessment of buildings;
--- Part 3. Rules for investigation;
--- Part 4. Direct disaster damage assessment.
This section GB/T 18208 Part 3.
This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
This Part replaces GB/T 18208.3-2000 "earthquake field works - Part 3. Rules for investigation."
Section compared with the GB/T 18208.3-2000, major changes in the following.
a) increase the "casualty investigation", "site damage survey", "post-earthquake disaster investigation" and "photo shoot, drawings collection and investigation
Report writing "four chapters;
b) the "engineering structure damage investigation" chapter split into "building damage investigation" and "major projects, structures, industrial equipment damage tune
Charles' two chapters;
c) to modify some of the definitions of terms;
d) add, delete, and modify some of the provisions;
e) amending and supplementing the "normative appendix" in the survey form.
This part is proposed by the China Seismological Bureau.

Introduction
Since the GB/T 18208.3-2000 embodiment, the earthquake site investigation work has played an important role in guiding.
This revision is based on the experience since GB/T 18208.3-2000 embodiment accumulated and recent earthquakes, especially the earthquake
Experience in the field, aims to further standardize and improve seismic site survey work, providing reflect earthquake information and data, at the same time
For the earthquake disaster reduction accumulated damage biography.
