1 Scope

This method specifies the method for determination of yttrium oxide and europium europium oxide content. This method is applicable to the determination of the amount of europium oxide, yttrium oxide and europium. Measurement range (mass fraction). 2.00% - 8.00%.

Weigh 0.1000g 1h at 900 โ„ƒ burning of europium oxide (REO (mass fraction) > 99.9%, Eu2O3 / REO (mass fraction) > 99.99%), placed in 100mL beaker, add 10mL of hydrochloric acid (1 + 1), low temperature dissolved and transferred to 100mL Volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. 1mL solution containing 1mg europium oxide. This solution was then washed with hydrochloric acid (3.2) diluted to 1mL containing 0.1mg standard solution of europium oxide.

4 Instrument

4.1 Inductively coupled plasma spectrometer with a resolution of < 0.006nm (200nm office). 4.2 source. argon plasma light source.

5 Sample

The sample was calcined at 900 โ„ƒ 1h, placed in a desiccator, cooled to room temperature, and immediately weighed.
