1 Scope
This standard specifies the observing items, technical requirements, and observation methods for marine hydro-meteorological aids and forecasting (hereinafter referred to as ship monitoring).
Report code and data processing.
This standard applies to merchant ships, fishing boats and other ships engaged in maritime activities for marine hydro-meteorological observations and data transmission.
2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

The marine hydro-meteorological elements are observed and reported using the ship as a carrier.
