Foreword
GB/T 17456 "ductile iron pipe outer surface of the zinc coating" is divided into the following two parts.
--- Part 1. metallic zinc coating with finishing layer;
--- Part 2. zinc-rich paint coating with finishing layer.
This section is GB/T Part of 117,456.
This section identical with ISO 8179-1.2004 "ductile iron pipe outer surface of the zinc coating - Part 1. with metal finishing zinc coating layer
Layer "(in English).
For ease of use, this section made the following editorial changes.
a) 'this International Standard' to replace the word 'this section';
b) with a decimal point '. 'Instead of a comma as the decimal point,' ';
c) Remove the International Standards Preface;
d) Normative references to international standards in line with the technical content of the corresponding national standards, abolished the ISO 7186.1996.
This Part replaces GB/T 17456-1998 "ductile iron pipe outer surface sprayed zinc coating."
This portion of the GB/T 17456-1998 main changes are as follows.
--- Purity zinc coating material is from 99% to 99.99%;
--- Increased the average thickness of the coating dry finish should not exceed 250μm;
--- Increased the determination of the finishing coat dry film thickness.
This part is proposed by the China Iron and Steel Association.
This part of the National Steel Standardization Technical Committee.
This section is responsible for drafting unit. Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., Ltd., Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Institute.

Ductile iron pipe outer surface of the zinc coating
Part 1. with metal finishing zinc coating layer
1 Scope
GB/T 17456 provisions of this part of the ductile iron pipe (hereinafter referred to as ductile iron pipe) and the outer surface of the metallic zinc coating finish coating technology
Surgery requirements and determination of thickness.
This section applies to zinc metal coating the outer surface of the ductile iron pipe with a finishing layer.

3 Materials
The coating material should be metal, zinc content of not less than 99.99%, finishing the coating material is asphalt coating or synthetic resin compatible with zinc
coating.
4 zinc coating
4.1 ductile iron pipe surface state
Ductile iron pipe surface should be dry, no dust, no attachment is not strong particles or foreign substances, such as oil or grease.
The outer surface of the ductile iron pipe sprayed zinc in oxidized or sandblasting the surface after grinding or spray zinc, decided by the manufacturer.
4.2 coating method
Zinc coating is applied by thermal spraying process, namely by means of a spray gun and zinc heated to a molten state to form droplets sprayed onto the outer surface of ductile iron pipe.
Design and construction spraying equipment not included in the scope of this standard.
4.3 coating requirements
Zinc coating shall cover the outer surface of the ductile iron pipe, no nudity and attachment is not strong and other defects.
As long as the quality of the zinc coating to meet the requirements of 4.4, allowed a spiral appearance.
Because zinc coating damage caused by the operation, as long as each square meter area in cumulative lesion area as no more than 5cm2 and a single damage zone
Domain of one dimension not less than 5mm, the coating quality can be considered qualified.
Larger area of \u200b\u200bdamage should be repaired 4.5.
4.4 coating quality
The average zinc coating quality by measuring not less than 6.1 130g/m2, a local minimum of not less than 110g/m2.
Producers should visually inspect each ductile iron pipe coating condition and uniformity, and should be 6.1 to zinc coating quality on a regular basis
measuring.
4.5 coating repair
The allowable range of the area not to spray the area, such as regional and coating the degree of injury is covered through the test piece exceeds 4.3 shall be
repair. After repair coating shall meet the requirements of 4.3 and 4.4. Choose any of the following methods to repair.
