Packaging container airtightness test method
1 Scope
This document describes the test principles and test procedures for the airtightness test method for packaging containers, and specifies the test equipment, materials and test report.
This document is applicable to the testing of the airtight properties of transport packaging containers.

3 Terms and Definitions
There are no terms or definitions that require definition in this document.
4 Test Principle
The test sample is filled with air to a predetermined pressure; then it is immersed in water (immersion method) or coated with a thin layer of liquid that can generate bubbles (coating method).
The sealing performance of the sample is determined by checking whether there are bubbles.
5.Test equipment and materials
5.1 A gas source capable of providing compressed air at a pressure of not less than 100 kPa.
5.2 The pressure gauge range should be 0kPa~100kPa, with an accuracy not less than Class 1.0.
5.3 A water tank capable of submerging the location being tested.
5.4 Containers for testing liquids, liquids that can generate bubbles, and brushing tools.
6 Test procedures
6.1 Sample pretreatment
Select a condition according to GB/T 4857.2 to pre-treat the test sample with temperature and humidity.
6.2 Test conditions
The test should be carried out under the same temperature and humidity conditions as the pretreatment; if the same conditions cannot be achieved, the test sample should be taken out of the pretreatment environment.
Start the test within 5 minutes of entering the environment.
6.3 Test pressure value
The test pressure value should comply with the airtight test pressure value requirements of the corresponding packaging container.
