introduction

Water is a harmful impurity in natural gas. High water dew point or water content will affect the production, transportation and use of natural gas and bring safety risks. Water dew point or water content is an important quality indicator of natural gas. The purpose of measuring the water dew point or water content of natural gas. ---Monitor gas quality; ---Monitor the dehydration operation of gas processing plants; ---Determine the condensation conditions of water in the pipeline. Given that there are many methods for determining the water dew point or water content of natural gas, the detection methods currently published in my country include direct determination of water dew point and water content. There are methods for determining water content, and water dew point and water content can be converted to each other, and there are conversion method standards. The management of standards and the selection of users will integrate the existing standards for determining water dew point or water content into a series of method standards. GB/T 17283 "Determination of moisture in natural gas" is intended to consist of the following 7 parts. --- Part 1.Determination of water dew point using the cooled mirror condensation hygrometer method. The purpose is to standardize the use of the cooled mirror condensation hygrometer method Test method for determination of water dew point using instrumental principles. --- Part 2.Determination of water content by laser absorption spectroscopy. The purpose is to standardize the instrument that uses the principle of laser absorption to determine water content. Test method for content. --- Part 3.Determination of water content by quartz crystal oscillation method. The purpose is to standardize the instrument using the principle of quartz crystal oscillation method to determine the water content. Test method for determining water content. --- Part 4.Determination of water content by electronic analysis. The purpose is to standardize the instrumentation for determining water content using the principle of electronic analysis test method. --- Part 5.Determination of water content by Karl Fischer-Coulomb method. The purpose is to standardize the instrument using the principle of Karl Fischer-Coulomb method Test method for determination of water content. --- Part 6.Determination of water content by absorption weighing method. The purpose is to standardize the test method for determination of water content by absorption weighing method. --- Part 7.Conversion between water content and water dew point. The purpose is to determine the correlation between water content and water dew point, so as to Convert water content to water dew point and vice versa. Determination of moisture in natural gas. Part 1. Determination of water dew point using a cooled mirror condensation hygrometer WARNING. Use of this document may involve hazardous materials, procedures, and equipment. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 20604 and the following apply to this document. 3.1 water dew point The lowest temperature at which no condensation occurs under specified pressure. Note. At the above dew point temperature, there is no condensation when the pressure is lower than the specified pressure. 3.2 Water content The total water content in the gas. Note 1.Water content is expressed as mass per unit volume (mg/m3). Note 2.For gases below the water dew point, the water content includes both liquid and gaseous water; for gases above the water dew point, the water content refers only to gaseous water. content. Note 3.Water content can also be expressed as mole fraction or volume fraction. 3.3 Hygrometer that determines the water dew point visually or automatically using the cooled mirror condensation method.
