1 Scope

This document specifies the requirements and inspection indicators for the hygienic safety evaluation of drinking water transmission and distribution equipment, protective materials and water treatment materials. The inspection method is described. This document applies to the sanitary safety assessment of drinking water transmission and distribution equipment, protective materials and water treatment materials.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Pipes, fittings, water storage containers, non-negative pressure water supply equipment, drinking water equipment that come into contact with drinking water during the process of delivering drinking water to users Water machines, sealing and water-stopping materials and mechanical parts, etc. 3.2 Protective materials protective materials Coatings, linings and other materials used to protect drinking water piping systems or water storage containers and that come into contact with drinking water. 3.3 Water treatment materials Through adsorption, filtration, ion exchange, aeration, oxidation, reduction and other water treatment methods, soluble substances and suspended substances in drinking water are removed. Water-insoluble materials used for purification of solids, colloids, etc.

4 Hygiene requirements

4.1 Water transmission and distribution equipment, protective materials and water treatment materials should not pollute the water quality, and the effluent quality should comply with the requirements of GB 5749. 4.2 Water distribution equipment, protective materials and water treatment materials shall be subjected to immersion tests in accordance with the provisions of Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C respectively. The soaking test should test both the soaking water and the blank control water, and the sanitary requirements of the test indicators should comply with the provisions of Table 1 and Table 2.
