Rehabilitation assistive devices (including software) are classified according to their functions. The classification consists of three levels, and each code consists of three pairs of numbers. For each level, we provide the code, name, explanation, inclusion, exclusion and cross-references. In addition to the ISO 9999 standard and the classification itself, a comparison between the previous edition of ISO 9999 (ISO 9999.2016) and this edition (ISO 9999.2022) is provided. Tables and alphabetical indexes are provided to facilitate the use of the classification and to improve its usability. This document contains 948 classification names, of which 67 are new and 572 have been modified, as well as minor editorial changes. All rehabilitation assistive devices in this category are primarily used outside medical institutions.
