This document replaces GB/T 16303-2009 "Ships and Marine Technology - Free-fall Lifeboat Launching Appliances" and
Compared with GB/T 16303-2009, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
Changed "Scope" (see Chapter 1, see Chapter 1 of the.2009 edition); a)
The terms "winch hoisting load" and "winch lowering load" have been deleted (see 3.5 and 3.6 of the.2009 edition); b)
Added "Inspection Classification" (see 6.1); c)

1 Scope

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 3893, ISO 15516, IMO MSC.48 (66) and the following apply.

The load acting on the runners or spreaders when a free-lowering appliance is lowering a fully loaded lifeboat for which it is intended.

lightest launching load
The load acting on the runners or spreaders when a free-lowering appliance is lowering an empty lifeboat for which it is intended.

maximum recovering load
When the free-falling device recovers the heaviest empty lifeboat with operators (not less than 3 persons) for which it is applicable, the force acting on the sling
load.
