This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents"
Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 16267-2008 "Test method for packaging materials - Vapor phase corrosion inhibition ability" and is consistent with GB/T 16267-2008.
In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Added the definition of "vapor phase rust inhibitor" in the terms and definitions (see 3.3);
--- Added the principle chapter (see Chapter 4);
--- Added purity requirements for anhydrous ethanol and glycerol in reagents and materials (see 6.2 and 6.3);
--- Added requirements for test water, rubber tubes and silica gel desiccant in reagents and materials (see 6.4, 6.10 and 6.11);
--- Changed the requirements for the size of test pieces, rubber stoppers and wide-mouth bottles in reagents and materials (6.5, 6.6 and 9.1, 4.2.4,.2008 edition

1 Scope
This document describes the test method for the vapor phase corrosion inhibition ability of VPI materials.
This document is applicable to the determination of the gas phase corrosion inhibition capacity of gas phase anti-rust paper, gas phase anti-rust plastic film and gas phase anti-rust agent.
The gas phase corrosion inhibition ability test of materials can refer to this document.
