Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 16140-1995 "Methods for Analysis of Radioactive Radionuclides in γ-ray Spectra".
Compared with GB/T 16140-1995, the main technical changes in this standard are as follows.
--- Modify the performance requirements of high purity 锗 γ spectrometer;
--- Modify the calculation formula of activity concentration and the calculation method of uncertainty;
--- Modify the relevant parameters and requirements of energy calibration source and efficiency calibration source;
--- Amend the major nuclide and its parameter data in Appendix C.
This standard was proposed and managed by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China.
This standard was drafted by. China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Medicine Center, Shanghai Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Jiang
Su Province Disease Prevention and Control Center.

Radioactive nuclide gamma spectroscopy analysis method in water
1 Scope
This standard specifies the use of high-purity germanium (HPGe) γ spectrometer to determine γ radionuclides in water.
This standard is applicable to radionuclides whose gamma ray energy is greater than 40 keV and whose activity is not lower than 0.4Bq in a laboratory water sample.
2 gamma spectrometer
2.1 Composition of gamma spectrometer
Spectrometer systems recommended in this standard mainly include detectors, multi-channel pulse amplitude analyzers (referred to as MCA), and data storage.
Devices, permanent data storage devices, shielded rooms, and other electronics.
2.2 Detector
The sensitive volume of high-purity germanium (HPGe) detectors is generally between 50cm3~150cm3 and the energy of 60Co1332.5keV gamma rays
The FWHM should not be greater than 2.5 keV. The low-noise charge-sensitive preamplifier should be assembled with the detector.
2.3 Shielding room
The detector shall be placed in an external radiation shielding room with a lead equivalent of at least 10 cm lead or steel as a shielding material, and the inner wall of the shielding room shall be probed.
The distance of the sensitive volume surface of the detector is at least 13cm. When the distance between the lead shielding inner wall and the detector is less than 25cm, in the shielding room
The inner surface should have a multilayer inner shield with gradually decreasing atomic number. The inner shield is lined with cadmium with a thickness of not less than 1.6mm from the outside to the inside.
Tin, copper not less than 0.4mm, and plexiglass with a thickness of 2mm to 3mm to reduce the characteristic X-ray generated by different materials
influences.
2.4 High Voltage Power Supply
The high voltage power supply can be continuously adjusted from 0V to 5000V and 1μA to 100μA. Stability is better than 0.1%, ripple voltage is not greater than
0.01%.
2.5 Spectral Amplifier
It should be matched with preamplifiers and multichannel analyzers.
2.6 Data Acquisition and Storage Devices
2.6.1 Multichannel Analyzer
The data acquisition function of the gamma spectrometer is performed using a separate multi-channel analyzer or an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) controlled by computer software.
For a high resolution gamma spectrometer, the number of analyzers is not less than 8192 channels.
2.6.2 Data Storage
The data store must have sufficient data storage and transfer any part of the spectrum data to one or more internal and external end devices (I/O).
The capabilities of these terminal devices may be printers, hard disks, removable storage devices, USB, serial or parallel computer interfaces.
Tips & Frequently Asked Questions:Question 1: How long will the true-PDF of GB/T 16140-2018_English be delivered?Answer: Upon your order, we will start to translate GB/T 16140-2018_English as soon as possible, and keep you informed of the progress.
