This section GB/T 15072-2008 Part 6.
This Part replaces GB/T 15072.6-1994 "precious metals and their alloys - palladium, iridium, iridium alloys measured quantity."
This section compared with the GB/T 15072.6-1994, have the following main changes.
--- Standard name by the GB/T 15072.6-1994 "precious metals and their alloys - palladium, iridium alloy iridium content measured
Set "to" precious metal alloys - Determination of platinum, palladium, iridium alloy in determining the amount of ferrous sulfate titration current ";
--- The new standard requires the preparation of solution preparation, concentration and other representation has been revised;
--- The original scope of the standard PtIr10, PtIr17.5, PtIr25, PdIr10, PdIr18 modify this standard applies to PtIr, PdIr,
PtIrRu alloys - Determination of iridium content;
--- According to GB/T 20001.4-2001 format requirements rewritten.

4 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise noted, reagents and vessels shall comply with the provisions of YS/T 371 Part 4.
4.1 active copper powder. Weigh 1.0g of zinc powder in 100mL beaker, add 1mL ~ 2mL water wet. Copper sulfate solution was added 10mL
(197g/L), shaking 2min ~ 3min, plus 30mL hydrochloric acid (4.1.5). When the violent reaction was stopped, decantation upper solution, add 40mL
Hydrochloric acid (4.1.4) soak overnight. Decantation upper solution, washed with water four times decanted, and the resulting reduction of the activity of copper for a solution to use.
4.2 Hydrogen peroxide (mass fraction 30%).
4.3 hydrochloride (ρ1.19g/mL).
4.4 HCl (1 + 1).
4.5 hydrochloric acid (1 + 11).
4.6 sulfate (1 + 1).
4.7 with saturated sodium chloride solution.
4.8 chlorite solution (100g/L).
4.9 iridium standard solution
Weigh 0.2500g cavernous metal iridium powder (iridium content of not less than 99.95%), accurate to 0.00001g, into a special glass
Tube, press YS/T 371 Appendix A was dissolved. Solution was transferred to 500mL volumetric flask, add 250mL of hydrochloric acid (4.1.3), cooled to room temperature,
Diluted with water to the mark. Mix well. This solution 1mL containing iridium 0.5000mg.
4.10 ferrous sulfate standard titration solution [Ba (FeSO4 · 7H2O) about 0.0011mol/L]
4.10.1 preparation. Weigh 0.318g ferrous sulfate, sulfuric acid dissolved in 1000mL (4 + 96), and mix well.
4.10.2 Calibration. Calibration and measurement sample were parallel.
